This brief statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs.

The Bible is the sole and final source of all that we believe. We do believe, however, that this brief statement accurately represents the teaching of the Bible and may assist those inquiring about our church.

Please read these with care and an open mind. Much time, effort, study, and experience has formed these time tested beliefs. We welcome your visit in hopes you will see that the grace of God is in this place. Blessings to you as you consider what we believe about:

The Holy Scriptures.

We believe the Bible is the very Word of God. While it was written by men, these holy men were led by God to write His eternal and unchangeable word. God, who created language, chose the specific words to communicate specific meaning across all time and culture. Truth does not change, but it does change people; God's word is both timeless and true.

God not only inspired His very words, He also preserved them. Since God has chosen to communicate to man His eternal word, and hold man accountable to these words, He has justly and providentially kept them through the ages. In this 21st century, we have no reason to doubt we have the pure word and words of God as He intended in the English language. God is able.

The publication of modern, competing and sometimes contradictory translations of the Bible confuses and even calls into question the credibility of the word and words of God. We remain committed to the Authorized Version (King James Bible) for its accuracy, resilience, reliability, consistency, beauty, and for the sake of unity and consistency within our assembly.

Having carefully considered the evidences both for and against this position, we believe, both by reason and faith, that we have the very word of God preserved in the English language. It is our final authority in matters of faith and practice (Psa. 12:6-7, 138:2, 2 Tim. 3:16-17, 2 Pet. 1:3, 20-21, Pro. 22:20-21).


We believe that the Scriptures interpreted in their natural, literal sense reveal divinely determined, progressively revealed rules of life which define man’s responsibilities before God.

These tests of faith are not new ways of salvation, but rather are divinely ordered stewardships by which God directs man according to His purpose. Three of these stewardships – the law, the church, and the kingdom – are subjects of detailed revelation in Scripture.

This literal method of interpretation maintains the objectivity of Scripture, the distinction between Israel and the Church, and the Purpose of God in the world being the Glorification of Himself (Gen. 1:28, 1 Cor. 9:17, 2 Cor. 3:9-18, Gal. 3:13-25, Eph. 1:10, 3:2-10, Col. 1:24-25, 27, Rev. 20:2-6).

While all of the Bible is to be read and believed, not all of the Bible is written specifically and doctrinally to this age. In other words, when reading the Bible, one must keep in mind historically and doctrinally who God is speaking to (context) so as to understand "whose mail" we are reading. This clarity is essential in preserving doctrinal soundness in both beliefs and behaviors for the New Testament church (Rom. 3:1-4, 2 Cor. 5:17-21, 2 Tim. 2:15, 3:15-17, Heb. 9:15-18).

The Godhead.

We believe that there is one, and only one, living and true God, an infinite, intelligent Spirit, the Maker and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth, inexpressibly glorious, in holiness, and worthy of all possible honor, confidence, and love;

That there is one triune God, eternally existing in the three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – each co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections (Deut. 6:4, Matt. 28:19, 2 Cor. 13:14, John 10:20, 14:10, 26).

The Person & Work of Christ.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men (Isa. 7:14, 9:6, Luke 1:35, John 1:1-2, 14, 2 Cor. 5:19-21, Gal. 4:4-5, Phil. 2:5-8).

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice; and, that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead (Acts 2:18-36, Rom. 3:24-25, 1 Pet. 2:24, Eph. 1:7, 1 Pet. 1:3-5).

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven and is now exalted and seated at the right hand of God where, as our High Priest, He fulfills the ministry of Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate (Acts 1:9-10, Heb. 9:24, 7:25, Rom. 8:34, 1 John 2:1-2).

The Person & Work of the Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; and, that He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption (John 16:8-11, Rom. 8:9, 1 Cor. 12:12-14, 2 Cor. 3:6, Eph. 1:13-14).

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the divine Teacher who assists believers to understand and appropriate the Scriptures and that it is the privilege and duty of all the saved to be filled with and walking after the Spirit (Eph. 1:17-18, 5:18, Gal. 5:16-18, 22-26, 1 John 2:20, 27, Rom. 8:1-16).

We believe God is sovereign in the bestowal of spiritual gifts to every believer. God uniquely uses the gifting of evangelists, pastors and teachers to equip believers in the assembly in order that they can do the work of the ministry. The other spiritual gifts (i.e. teaching, exhortation, giving, ministry, mercy, etc.) are to be used by individuals for the edification of the body and advancement of the gospel (Rom. 12:3-8, 1 Cor. 12:4-11, 27, Eph. 4:7-12).


We believe that salvation is God's gift to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ upon repentance and consent. God's precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins, thereby enabling man to be reconciled to God on the merits of Jesus Christ alone.

We believe that all sins, except blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, are forgivable. (John 1:12, Eph. 1:7, 2:8-10, Acts 17:30-31, Rom. 10:9-13, 2 Cor. 7:10-11, Col 1:20-22, 1 Pet. 1:18-19, Matt. 12:31-32, 1 John 1:9).

We believe there is only one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus (1 Tim. 2:5). The church does not save, only the blood of Jesus Christ does. Personal reconciliation with God is necessary and only available through Jesus, not a priest, pastor, parent, other person, or personage.

Evidence of salvation will include newness of life and avoidance of sin (Rom. 6:1-4, 2 Cor. 5:10-21, 2 Tim. 2:19). For more information (Please Read)

 The Assurance of Believers.

By virtue of the believer's identification in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ we believe that it is the privilege of believers to rejoice in the assurance of their salvation, kept by the power of God through faith in His blood, and according to the testimony of God’s Word, which, however, clearly forbids the use of Christian liberty as an occasion to the flesh (John 6:37-40, 10:27-30, Rom. 6:1-13, 8:1, 38-39, 10:3-4, 13:13-14, 1 Cor. 1:4-8, 1 Pet. 1:2-5, 1 John 5:1-13, Gal. 3:1-3, 5:1-3, 13, Titus 2:11-15, Heb. 10:10-25).

The Church.

The church is not a building, nor is it a business. The church is a spiritual body, with Jesus Christ as her sole Creator and Head, that assembles locally (normatively in a building) for the purpose of worship, edification, mutual aid, equipping for the work of the ministry, the enjoyment of the ordinances, and fellowship.

We believe that the establishment and continuance of local churches is clearly taught and defined in the New Testament Scriptures. Every member is to have an active role in learning and obeying the Bible and urgently propagating the gospel to all.

(Eph 4:11-16, Matt. 28:18-20, Mk. 16:15, Acts 1:8, 2 Cor. 5:18-20, Phil. 4:8-9, 2 Tim. 2:2, Heb. 10:23-25, Rev. 4:11, Eph. 1:22-23, Col. 1:18, 21-29, 1 John 1:7, 1 Tim. 3:15).

We believe in the autonomy of the local church free of any external authority or control (Act 13:1-4, 15:19-31, 20:28, Rom. 16:1,4, 1 Cor. 3:9, 16, 5:4-7, 1 Pet. 5:1-4). Being a spiritual body she is obligated to follow the commands of her Lord Jesus Christ, her Head (Eph. 1:19-23, 5:23, Col. 1:18-24). While she may cooperate with and influence earthly governments, she is not to be in subjection to nor incorporated by them.

We recognize water baptism and the Lord’s Supper as the Scriptural ordinances of obedience for the church in this age: Both of these being emblems of our faith, not a means to secure it.

We believe that Christian baptism is the immersion in water of a believer, done in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Baptism is performed under the authority of the local church to show forth in a solemn and beautiful emblem our faith and identification in the crucified, buried, and risen Saviour – Jesus Christ. Baptism pictures our death to sin and resurrection to a new life and publicly professes our faith in Jesus Christ alone.

The Lord’s Supper commemorates the death of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the bread representing His body that was broken for us, and the fruit of the vine representing His blood that was shed for us (Matt. 28:19-20, Acts 2:41-42, 8:35-38, 1 Cor. 10:1-17, 11:23-26, Rom. 12:16, 15:5, Phil. 1:27, 2:1-4, 3:16).

The Second Advent of Christ.

Since Jesus came literally and physically at His promised and prophesied first coming, He will fulfill His promised and prophesied Second Coming literally and physically as well.

We believe in that blessed hope, the personal, imminent return of Christ who will receive His Church prior to the seven-year tribulation period, intending His bride for a wedding, not wrath, having already suffered the wrath of God at Calvary for the sins of those whom He has saved.

At the end of the Tribulation, Christ will personally and visibly return with His saints, to establish His earthly Messianic Kingdom that was promised to the nation of Israel (Psa. 89:3-4, Dan. 2:31-45, Zech. 14:4-11, 1 Thes. 1:10, 4:13-18, 2 Thes. 2:1-9, Titus 2:13, Rev. 3:10, 19:11-16, 20:1-6).

The Eternal State.

All people are eternal and accountable to God. Every human being will spend eternity, irrevocably, in either heaven or hell, with no intermediary state or annihilation. Sins against an eternal God are eternally punishable just as forgiveness from those sins is eternally profitable.

Since believers become children of light, Heaven is a place of eternal light, correspondingly, just as men love darkness rather than light, Hell will be a place of eternal darkness.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting punishment (Matt. 25:46, John 3:16-19, 35-36, 5:28-29, 11:25-26, Rev. 20:5-6, 12-13).

We believe that the souls of the redeemed are, at death, absent from the body and present with the Lord, where in conscious bliss they await the first resurrection, when spirit, soul and body are reunited to be glorified forever with the Lord (Luke 23:43, 2 Cor. 5:8, Phil. 1:23, 3:21, 1 Thes. 4:16-17, Rev. 20:4-6).

We believe that the souls of unbelievers remain, after death, in conscious punishment and torment until the second resurrection, when with soul and body reunited, they shall appear at the Great White Throne Judgment, and shall be cast into the Lake of Fire, not to be annihilated, but rather to suffer everlasting conscious punishment and torment (Matt. 5:41-46, Mk. 9:43-48, Luke 16:19-26, 2 Thes. 1:7-9, Jude 6-7, Rev. 20:11-15).

The Personality of Satan.

We believe that Satan is a person, created by God, who left his created purpose as the anointed Cherub, became the author of sin, and encouraged and contributed to the fall of man; that he is the open and declared enemy of God and man; and that he shall be eternally punished in the Lake of Fire with the angels who followed him (Gen. 3:1-6, Job 1:6-7, Isa. 14:12-17, Matt. 4:2-11, 25:41, Rev. 20:10).


We believe that God created the heaven and earth and everything in them in six literal, consecutive, 24-hour periods called days.

We reject evolution, the day-age theory, theistic evolution and any other unscriptural theories of origin (Gen. 1-2, Exo. 20:11, 31:17, Col. 1:16-18).


We believe God created only two genders, a biological male and biological female, determined by Him at conception. Each gender plays a complimentary role in family, civil, and church life.

Marriage is to be comprised of one biological male and one biological female. Family is the institution God created to give the responsibility for rearing children and family life according to God's word (Gen. 1:27, 2:18, 24, Matt. 19:4, Deut. 6:4-9, Psa. 78:1-10, Psa. 127-128, Pro. 6:20-22, 22:6, Eph. 5:21-6:4, 2 Tim. 3:15-17).

Civil Government.

We believe that God has ordained and created all authority consisting of three basic institutions: 1) the home, 2) the church, and 3) the state.

Every person is to strive to cooperate with these authorities, but all (including the authorities) are answerable to God, governed by, and subject to His word.

God has given each institution specific biblical responsibilities and balanced those responsibilities with the understanding that no institution has unlimited, but rather biblically defined, legitimate and limited authority.

The home, the church and the state are equal and authoritative in their respective biblically assigned spheres of responsibility under God and are to practice cooperation without usurpation of these legitimate but limited jurisdictions.

We believe that civil government is of divine appointment and is to be obeyed with the exception of things opposed to the will of our Lord Jesus Christ, the coming Prince of the kings of the earth, or when infringing upon these God ordained boundaries, or when violating one's conscience (Eph. 5:22-24, Rom. 13:1-7, Num. 5, Daniel 3, 4:17, 32-35, 2 Chr. 26:16-21, Isa. 9:6-7, Rev. 19:16, 1 Tim. 6:13-16, Acts 24:16).

Our Commission.

We believe that God has given the church a great commission to proclaim the gospel to all nations so that there might be great multitude from every nation, tribe, ethnic group, and language group who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

As ambassadors of Christ, we must use all available means to fulfill this task ourselves, locally and abroad, while also providing support to others engaged in this great work.

We are not to wait for others to come to us, but must go to them (Matt. 28:19-20, Mark 16:15, 19-20, Luke 24:46-48, John 20:21, Acts 1:8, 2 Cor. 5:18-20, Phil. 1:27-30, Col. 1:25-29, Acts 5:29, 42).
